Spiders on Drugs

Spiders on Drugs started as a hobby project for guitarist Håkan Järvå. He played in the Swedish Indie band Rickard & juvelerna but wanted an outlet for creative ideas that didn´t fit into the bands profile.

Several people has commented that the bands songs deserve a broader public but the language limits the audience. After discussions with Rickard and other band members the decision was made to publish some of the songs in English with new lyrics and a slightly heavier sound under the umbrella of Spiders on Drugs.

Heart of stone is the second release in this series and it will be out 9th of May. It was recorded at Floodgate studios in January-February this year, mixed and mastered at Studio Fredman  and published via KANAB Records. All the lyrics in this series have a little twist. The songs in Swedish have a very romantic and melancholic vibe, some fans have called it Scandinavian noir. The lyrics in English, apart from being sung from a womans perspective, have a much darker and colder vibe.

The members from Rickard & juvelerna who participates in this project is Rickard Nilsson, guitar, composer; Patrik Tammelin, lead guitar, arrangement; Håkan Järvå, guitar, arrangement, programming and english lyrics; Maria Simonson, vocals.
